WINSTON-SALEM – Starting this weekend, an N.C. Department of Transportation contractor will have a lane closure and multiple ramp closures on Interstate 40 in Forsyth County as part of the ongoing I-40 rehabilitation project.
The following closures will take place from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, weather permitting:
- On Sunday, two of three lanes of I-40 East will be closed from west of Stratford Road to east of Peter's Creek Parkway.
- On Sunday, the ramp from Hanes Mall Boulevard to I-40 East will be closed with a signed detour.
- On Sunday, the ramp from I-40 East to Peters Creek Parkway will be closed with a signed detour.
- On Monday, the ramp from Union Cross Road to I-40 East will be closed with a signed detour.
Motorists should use caution in these areas and plan accordingly for delays due to the detours.
