MORRISVILLE — N.C. Department of Transportation contractors plan to close the northbound lanes of Airport Boulevard between Interstate 40 and RDU Airport tonight to remove a large overhead sign that spans the width of the road.
At 10 p.m., crews will close Airport Boulevard just north of Pleasant Grove Church Road. Work is expected to be complete by 11 a.m. Saturday.
During the closures, drivers on I-40 and I-540 will be directed via digital message boards to use Aviation Parkway to access RDU.
