HARRELLS – A portion of Firetower Road in Sampson County is scheduled to close for about two weeks while N.C. Department of Transportation crews repair a crossline pipe.
The closure near Devane Farm Road will begin at 9 a.m. Monday. It’s expected to reopen by 5 p.m. Oct. 8, if the weather cooperates. The closure will allow crews to safely repair a joint in the pipe underneath the road.
Drivers will be detoured onto N.C. 41, Belvin Maynard Road and Wildcat Road and may take them longer to get to their destination. Drivers should plan ahead and urged to use caution and slow down when near where crews are working.
