Traffic Shifting for Mebane Bypass Project

MEBANE – A new traffic alignment is set to be implemented Wednesday as part of the N.C. 119 Bypass project.

Starting at 8 a.m., crews plan to begin realigning the way drivers on Woodlawn Road access Mebane Rogers Road, by way of a new section of the bypass. Going forward, residents of Woodlawn Road to the north of the bypass will use Mebane Rogers Road to access their homes.

These changes are expected to be complete by 5 p.m. Wednesday, weather permitting. Throughout the day, there will be a flagging operation for a lane closure on Mebane Rogers Road in this area.

Drivers should slow down, watch for special signage and be mindful of crews working near the travel lanes near this work zone.
