GREENSBORO – A section of a Guilford County road is set to close over the next couple months while crews replace a drainage pipe under the roadway.
McKnight Mill Road is set to close near Hines Chapel Road on Thursday morning. The work is expected to be complete in mid-September, weather permitting.
Until then, a signed detour will be in place following Hicone Road, U.S. 29, East Cone Street and 16th Street for access to either side of the closure.
Drivers should watch for crews at work in this area and allow extra time for the detour.
