STATESVILLE – The N.C. Department of Transportation will temporarily close lanes of Interstate 77 in Iredell County for two nights of construction over the next two weeks
Starting at 11 p.m. on Wednesday, traffic for both directions of I-77 will be stopped at 30-minute intervals to allow crews to set girders for the new Broad Street Bridge. After each 30-minute closure, crews will allow traffic to clear before continuing work. Construction will end at 5 a.m. Thursday, but work will resume with similar closures planned for the evening of July 15.
Motorists are advised to use caution when approaching the work zone and expect some delays.
