CLEMMONS – The contractor for the project to improve Interstate 40 at the Davie/Forsyth county line plans to close an exit ramp for paving work this weekend.
The ramp from I-40 East to Harper Road (Exit 182) is scheduled to close for paving work from 6 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday.
Drivers wishing to access Harper Road from I-40 East during these times will take Exit 180 for N.C. 801 and turn right, then left onto U.S. 158.
Drivers should watch for crews working along the interstate in this area and plan ahead for the detour.
This work is part of the ongoing project to widen and improve 3 miles of I-40 and replace the bridges over the Yadkin River.
