EDEN – The public is invited to provide feedback on plans to make a Rockingham County intersection safer and more efficient.
Preliminary engineering for the project to improve the intersection of U.S. 311/N.C. 14 (South Van Buren Road) and Kings Highway in Eden was put on hold due to impacts of COVID-19. Design work continued in the spring and is now complete, and people have the chance to comment on the reduced conflict intersection design through July 2.
This design was chosen as the preferred alternative following a public meeting and comment period in 2019
Comments can be made by emailing US311-KingsHwy-Eden@PublicInput.com or calling 855-925-2801, Code 5402. Maps and other project details can be found on the project website.
This project is intended to address traffic flow and operational deficiencies and to help prepare the intersection to handle more traffic as growth occurs in the surrounding area.
