SUMMERFIELD – Ramps at a pair of U.S. 220 interchanges at the Guilford-Rockingham county border are scheduled to close next week for improvements.
Crews plan to install new arrows and markers for the off ramps in both directions of U.S. 220 at Exit 120 (U.S. 158) and Exit 122 (N.C. 65) starting at 9 p.m. Monday. This work will require temporary closures of the ramps at various times until the scheduled completion early Wednesday morning, weather permitting.
People needing to access these exits during the closures should continue to the next interchange to turn around and access them from the other direction.
Drivers should be wary of crews working near the travel lanes in this area and allow extra time to navigate around the closures.
