RURAL HALL – N.C. Department of Transportation Bridge Maintenance crews have planned a pair of ramp closures next week at a U.S. 52 interchange in northern Forsyth County.
The ramp from U.S. 52 North to Hanes Mill Road, Exit 116, is scheduled to be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Dec. 16. As a detour, traffic will continue north on U.S. 52 to N.C. 65/Bethania-Rural Hall Road, Exit 118, and head back on U.S. 52 South to return to Hanes Mill Road.
Then, the ramp from Hanes Mill Road onto U.S. 52 South is scheduled to be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on both Dec. 17 and Dec. 18. Traffic will be detoured to follow Hanes Mill Road to University Parkway to access U.S. 52 South.
The closures are necessary so maintenance crews can make repairs to the bridge that carries Hanes Mill Road across U.S. 52.
Drivers should be cautious near the work zone and allow extra travel time while the detours are in place.
