CHARLOTTE – Next week, contract crews will be installing mast arm poles for new traffic signals at the intersection of N.C. 16 and Mount Holly-Huntersville Road in west Charlotte. The work will be scheduled from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Sunday through Friday nights, weather permitting.
The mast arm installation will require some temporary changes in traffic patterns. While traffic on N.C. 16 will not be affected, drivers on Mount Holly-Huntersville Road can only turn right, then make a U-turn on N.C. 16 to head in the opposite direction. This restriction will only be in place during the scheduled installation work.
Once the work is completed, crews will put the new signals into operation.
