MORRISVILLE – N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews will be closing lanes on westbound Interstate 40 near the Aviation Parkway interchange to perform nighttime milling and repaving this weekend. Lane shifts will also be in place as a result of this work.
Work will begin tonight at 8 p.m. and continue until 6 a.m. tomorrow. The schedule will be the same for Saturday and Sunday nights, with a work being completed by Monday at 6 a.m.
Motorists are encouraged to use Airport Boulevard to access Raleigh–Durham International Airport (RDU) instead of Aviation Parkway this weekend.
