CHAPEL HILL – Resurfacing work will impact traffic on several Chapel Hill roads in the coming months.
N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews will work on Franklin Street, Estes Drive, Weaver Dairy Road, Sunrise Road and several other secondary roads from Monday, May 20, until Nov. 1. The work can only take place between 9 a.m. and sunset, Monday through Saturday.
Various lane closures will be in place throughout the resurfacing project. Though traffic will be maintained at these locations, drivers are encouraged to use alternative routes.
Drivers traveling through the work zones should slow down, be cautious and anticipate possible delays.
