GRAHAM – Bridge repair work will require overnight lane closures on Interstate 40/85 in Alamance County next week.
A contractor for the N.C. Department of Transportation is returning to the site of recent bridge preservation work near Graham to repair joints on bridges between exit 143 (N.C. 62/Alamance Road) and exit 150 (Jimmy Kerr Road).
The work will occur between 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. starting Monday and concluding Sunday, March 17.
Though the repairs involve working on both sides of the interstate, closures are only allowed in one direction at a time.
Drivers should anticipate the presence of the repair crews and use caution throughout the work zone.
