CHARLOTTE – The N.C. Department of Transportation will be closing a section of Roberta Road in Concord at 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 10, weather permitting.
The closure is necessary for maintenance crews to replace a pipe under the roadway. The road is scheduled to reopen by 4 p.m. Thursday, April 12.
During the closure, a marked detour will take motorists from Roberta Road to George Liles Parkway to U.S. 29 South to Pitts School Road back to Roberta Road. Motorists traveling in the opposite direction will follow the detour in reverse.
NCDOT will place electronic message boards on Roberta Road at Pitts School Road and George Liles Parkway to alert motorists to the closure.
