Public Opinion Sought on Proposed Kernersville Loop Road in Forsyth County

KERNERSVILLE — Transportation officials will hold a public meeting on Thursday, Feb. 22, regarding a section of the proposed Kernersville Loop Road.

The public can view maps displaying the location and design of the project as they become available online at http://ncdot.gov/projects/publicmeetings/default.html.

The project will provide a two-lane divided roadway with bicycle and pedestrian accommodations between Piney Grove Road and N.C. 150 (North Main Street) in Kernersville.

Interested citizens may attend the meeting at any time from 5 to 7 p.m. at Kernersville Wesleyan Church, located at 930 N. Main Street.

At the meeting, a map of the proposed alternative will be presented. Project team members, including right-of-way agents, will be available to discuss the project, answer questions, and provide feedback. Attendees will also have the opportunity to submit written comments and questions at the meeting and via mail/email until Friday, March 9.

NCDOT will provide auxiliary aids and services under the Americans with Disabilities Act for disabled persons who wish to participate in this meeting.
