CHARLOTTE – The N.C. Department of
Transportation will hold a public meeting next week regarding the proposed
widening of U.S. 74 between N.C. 200 (Dickerson Boulevard) and Rocky River Road,
and a related project to improve the intersection of U.S. 74 and Secrest
Shortcut Road.
Citizens can view project maps at http://www.ncdot.gov/projects/publicmeetings.
The meeting will be held Thursday, March 1, from 4 to 7 p.m. at
Shiloh Baptist Church, 2301 N. Rocky River Road in Monroe. The public may attend
at any time to meet with NCDOT representatives and provide comments on the
projects as no formal presentation will be made at the meeting.
Comments can also be submitted by phone, email or mail through
