Public Feedback Needed About Design of U.S. 601 Widening Project in Davie County

​MOCKSVILLE – Transportation officials have scheduled a public meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 27, regarding a proposal to widen a portion of U.S. 601 from the Interstate 40 interchange to Cana Road and, replace the U.S. 601 bridge over I-40 in Mocksville.

The public meeting will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at Blaise Baptist Church, 134 Blaise Church Road in Mocksville.

State engineers and consultants will be on hand to gather public input on the proposed design and answer questions about the project. A map of the study area, environmental features and proposed designs will be presented. Attendees will also have the opportunity to submit written comments and questions at the meeting and via mail/email until Tuesday, March 20.
