Pipe Replacement Work to Detour Drivers Along Cruse Road in Rowan County

SALISBURY – N.C. Department of Transportation maintenance crews must close a section of Cruse Road between Safrit Road and Old Concord Road while they work to replace a deteriorating pipe beneath the roadway in Salisbury.

The road will close at 7 a.m. Monday, Feb. 19. It is scheduled to reopen by 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 23, weather permitting.

Drivers will be able to detour around the closure by way of Old Concord Road, Mount Hope Church Road and Safrit Road. Local traffic will still be able to access locations on either side of the bridge up to the point of closure.

Transportation officials advise drivers to watch signs for construction information, stay alert and obey the posted speed limit. Drivers should anticipate delays due to the detour.
