RALEIGH — Good news for Wolfpack fans heading into this weekend’s game against the Virginia Cavaliers. A safe route designed for pedestrians crossing Trinity Road in Raleigh between parking lots for N.C. State’s Carter-Finley Stadium and the State Fairgrounds will be open for use.
After closing a section of Trinity Road between Edwards Mill Road and Blue Ridge Road in March to construct a pedestrian tunnel, contractors have just a few small items left to complete and will be able to open the tunnel in time for the game.
In addition to providing a safe crossing for fans attending events at the football stadium and PNC Arena, it will also provide safety for attendees to the state fair in October, when thousands of vehicles are parked on the stadium side of Trinity Road.
