About the Transportation Summit
North Carolina's projected growth requires consideration and careful action, particularly as it pertains to the population growth. In fact, by 2040, the state's population is expected to increase by 3 million – the equivalent to the entire state of Kansas relocating to North Carolina. Although a remarkable statistic, this growth has the potential to create new challenges.
The North Carolina Transportation Summit is an exceptional opportunity for policy makers, transportation and industry experts and representatives from city and county governments to gather and consider these fast-approaching shifts.
With more than 500 attendees expected across the state, the event will feature general session speakers offering national and international perspectives regarding safety, technology and economy.
The Transportation Summit will also include host panel discussions and breakout sessions as well as open forums on a range of topics that include:
- Technologies
- Engineering
- Funding and financing transportation
- Safety
- Economic development
- Planning
The gathering will also include exhibitors to demonstrate and display cutting-edge technologies, advances in engineering, and services in multiple disciplines.
