Future Service

The N.C. Department of Transportation has invested hundreds of millions of dollars in future service involving North Carolina's intercity passenger rail service. Work includes the renovation or construction of train stations, track improvements and corridor preservation.

High-Speed Rail

With tremendous economic and population growth, the Southeast needs a comprehensive, multimodal transportation system. High-speed rail service will provide business and leisure travelers with a competitive alternative to air and auto for trips between 100-500 miles.
