Proposed Improvements to Independence Boulevard (U.S. 74) - Mecklenburg County

The N.C. Department of Transportation proposes improvements to Independence Boulevard (U.S. 74) from I-277 to I-485 (Charlotte Outer Loop)​ in Charlotte and Matthews in Mecklenburg County.

​​The purpose of this meeting is to inform the public of the proposed project and gather input on the proposed design. The public can view project information at NCDOT's public input porta​l​​​​​.​​​​

Public Comment

NCDOT representatives will be available to answer questions and receive comments. The comments and information received will be taken into consideration as work on the project develops.
