The N.C. Department of Transportation proposes a project to improve U.S. 321 Alt. from Pinewood Road (S.R. 1109) to Duke Street (S.R. 1106) in Granite Falls.
The purpose of the project is to improve traffic flow and increase pedestrian safety. As part of this project, sight-distance downtown and safety of school-crossings within the project limits will be improved.
A public meeting is scheduled for:

The purpose of this meeting is to inform the public of the project and gather input on the proposed design.
The public may attend at any time during the public meeting hours, as no formal presentation will be made.
Public Comment
NCDOT representatives
will be available to answer questions and receive comments. The comments
and information received will be taken into consideration as work on
the project develops.
The opportunity to submit written comments will be provided at the meeting or can be submitted by March 15, 2019, via phone, email or mail.
