WEEKSVILLE – The N.C. Department of Transportation will be closing a Pasquotank County bridge near the town of Weeksville today due to deteriorating conditions of its timber substructure.
The bridge over Pailin Creek on Toxey Road will need to undergo major repairs or be replaced entirely, a process that could take several months.
During the closure, traffic will be detoured onto Airship Drive and Small Drive.
Motorists should allow for extra time and use caution while traveling in the area.
