MOORESVILLE – N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews are closing a local road tomorrow as part of a $34.8 million project to widen 1.18 miles of Brawley School Road between Interstate 77 and U.S. 21. The project also includes improvements along U.S. 21 between Dry Dock Loop/Vandalia Road and Abberly Green Blvd.
Contractor Lane Construction Corp. is closing Commerce Park Road at 8 a.m. Wednesday for about four weeks to install a 24" sewer line. Access to businesses will be maintained during the closure. Other traffic can use the detour from Brawley School Road to U.S. 21 South, returning to Commerce Park Road.
Drivers should remain alert, use caution, and reduce speed in the work zone.
