LANDIS – N.C. Department of Transportation contractors will close a Rowan County road for maintenance work next week, weather permitting.
Beginning on Monday morning at 7:30 a.m., a section of East Ryder Avenue between U.S. Highway 29 and Chapel Street will be closed for milling and repaving. Work will occur from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday.
Eastbound traffic on East Ryder Avenue will be detoured via North Chapel Street to Coach Deal Road to U.S. Highway 29. Westbound traffic will be detoured via Coach Deal Road to North Chapel Street to East Ryder Avenue.
Drivers are advised to plan for additional travel time during the closure and follow posted detour signs.
