MONROE – N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews will close the bridge on Macedonia Church Road over Little Richardson Creek on Monday morning, weather permitting.
Contractor NJR Group Inc. of Albemarle recently earned the $715,000 contract to replace the existing structure.
During the closure, drivers will be detoured around the work area using Stack Road, Belmont Church Road and Medlin Road, returning to Macedonia Church Road.
The bridge is scheduled to open to traffic in the spring of 2025.
