MORRISVILLE- Contract crews for the N.C. Department of Transportation will need to close the southbound lanes of Airport Boulevard near Factory Shops Road for four days due to construction.
Starting at 8 tonight., weather permitting, Airport Boulevard South will close, and not reopen until 6 a.m. Monday.
Traffic for Airport Boulevard, as well as local businesses beyond Factory Shops Road, should follow posted message boards.
Traffic on I-40 East should take I-540 (Exit 283A) to Chapel Hill Road (Exit 69) to access Airport Boulevard.
Traffic on I-40 West should take Aviation Parkway South (Exit 285), McCrimmon Parkway to Airport Boulevard.
Drivers should remain alert, avoid distractions and obey all posted signs in the work zone.
