HUNTERSVILLE – On Sunday night, N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews will close the ramp from I-77 South to Gilead Road as part of a $30.8 million project to convert the existing interchange to a diverging diamond interchange.
The ramp closure is scheduled from 6 p.m. Sunday to 6 a.m. Monday, allowing workers to safely pave the exit ramp.
Drivers are encouraged to take I-77 South to exit 18 (Harris Boulevard), going over the highway, turning to I-77 North to continue to exit 23.
