ALBEMARLE – The N.C. Department of Transportation awarded a $622,429 contract this month to TRP Construction Group, LLC out of Fort Worth, Texas to install rumble strips, pavement markings and markers along 21 miles of N.C. 73 in Cabarrus and Stanly counties.
The contractor can start work as soon as May 20 but no later than July 12. Once work begins, the project must be completed within 70 calendar days.
Crews will be permitted to work at night from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m., with holiday travel restrictions built into the contract, if necessary.
