CHERRYVILLE– Next week, N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews will start a project to replace the bridge on Carol/Milo Neal roads over Gilliam Creek.
Contractor R.E. Burns & Sons Co., Inc recently earned the $961, 839 contract. The road is scheduled to close Monday, March 25 and remain closed through the end of October.
During the project, a posted detour will take drivers along Mary's Grove and Mary's Grove Church roads until the new bridge is open to traffic.
