CLYDE – An ongoing pavement rehabilitation project requires contract crews to intermittently close ramps on I-40 East and West at exit 27 (U.S. 74) starting Monday night, weather permitting.
The closures will be scheduled each night from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. the following morning as follows:
- Monday night – exit ramp from I-40 West
- Tuesday night – exit ramp from I-40 East
- Wednesday night – entrance ramp to I-40 East
Westbound drivers will be detoured to exit 31 (N.C. 215) and eastbound drivers will be detoured to exit 24 (N.C. 209).
