WINSTON-SALEM – An N.C. Department of Transportation contractor will move a closure tonight on a ramp to Interstate 40 in Forsyth County as part of an ongoing maintenance project, weather permitting.
At 10 p.m., the left lane closure on Exit 238 from U.S. 421 South to I-40 East will be removed and a right lane closure will be implemented. The closure is tentatively scheduled to remain in place until Sept. 12.
The exit loop onto I-40 East from the connector ramp between U.S. 421 and I-40 West will remain closed as it currently is until the right lane closure on Exit 238 is removed. A detour will be in place.
Motorists are advised to use caution and slow down when passing through the work zone.
