SALEMBURG – The N.C. Department of Transportation is closing a bridge on Minnie Hall Road in Sampson County to do necessary maintenance.
The closure will begin at 10 a.m. on the bridge west of Carroll Store Road. This portion of road is scheduled to be closed until 5 p.m. Friday.
During a routine inspection, crews discovered structural steel repairs were needed. If repairs were not made, larger vehicles would not be able to use the bridge
To get around the work, drivers should use Carroll Store, Holland and Libby roads.
NCDOT encourages drivers to slow down and remain alert in this area and plan ahead for a longer commute.
