Craven County Highway Ramps to Close for Maintenance

NEW BERN – Maintenance on the U.S.70/U.S. 17 interchange in Craven County continues, requiring portion to close to traffic Friday.

The following locations are set to close for milling, resurfacing and paint striping starting at 6 a.m.:

• U.S. 17 South / U.S. 70 West, /N.C. 55 West ramp to Kinston and Jacksonville from Bridgeton
  

  • One lane will close to traffic at a time.
    

• U.S. 17 South / U.S. 70 West / N.C. 55 West ramp back to U.S. 70 West from Front Street

The closures are expected to be complete by 5 p.m. the same day.

Message boards alerting the public to the closures are posted in the area.
