ROWAN COUNTY – A section of road is set to close for several months as a bridge replacement project begins next week.
Crews plan to close Godbey Road where it crosses Beaverdam Creek, between Parks and Woodleaf roads, at 7a.m. Monday.
The bridge replacement is expected to complete by May 2022. Until then, drivers will be detoured along Woodleaf and Goodson roads, U.S. 70/Statesville Boulevard and Parks Road.
Drivers should be cautious near this work zone and allow extra time for the detour.
