LOVE VALLEY – N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews will close an Iredell County road for five months for a bridge replacement starting July 12.
Branton Road will be closed in both directions between Linney’s Mill Road and Pilgrim Church Road while crews replace the bridge over Rocky Creek. Construction is expected to be complete by Dec. 15.
Traffic will be detoured to Linney’s Mill Road, Coolbrook Road, Fox Mountain Road and Pilgrim Church Road.
Motorists should use caution and expect delays to their commute due to the detour.
