WINSTON-SALEM – The right lane of Interstate 40 West will be closed Thursday morning for assessment of the bridge over East Clemmonsville Road.
N.C. Department of Transportation inspection crews will be onsite starting at 9 a.m. to sample the right lane and shoulder.
The inspection should last about an hour, and the lane should be reopened by noon.
Drivers should be mindful of crews working in the area and expect some congestion near the assessment site.
