GUILFORD COUNTY – A local intersection will undergo safety upgrades this week as the result of a recent traffic study.
The junction of Old Julian Road and Coble Church Road currently has stop signs only on Old Julian Road. The traffic study showed the need to add stop signs on Coble Church Road, creating an all-way stop intersection.
The installation of new signs, roadway markings and an overhead flasher is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday and should be complete by 4 p.m., weather permitting.

Drivers should keep an eye out on for the crews working at this intersection on Wednesday and prepare for the new traffic design.
