MEBANE – State transportation contractors plan to shift traffic at multiple locations this weekend as part of the N.C. 119 bypass project in Mebane.
The traffic shifts are scheduled for Saturday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the following locations:
- South Third Street Extension at South Fifth Street;
- South Fifth Street at the N.C. 119 Bypass; and
- South Third Street at the N.C. 119 Bypass.
These shifts will create new connections between the local roads and N.C. 119, just north of its interchange with Interstate 40.
Message boards and signs will be in place to help alert traffic of the new traffic patterns. Drivers should be mindful of the crews working at these locations this weekend.
