HIGH POINT – A detour will be in place for a couple months while N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews install new water lines and realign a Guilford County road.
Waterview Road is scheduled to be closed near its junction with Skeet Club Road from Tuesday (Oct. 15) until Dec. 15. Signed detours will direct local traffic to use Johnson Street to access Waterview Road south of the closure.
Drivers should be mindful of the work crews and anticipate longer commutes because of closures and detours taking place in this area.
This work is part of the ongoing project to widen Skeet Club Road to four lanes between Johnson Street and N.C. 68.
