CHARLOTTE – Contractors with the N.C. Department of Transportation will be resurfacing lanes and ramps on Interstate 485 in north Charlotte this weekend as part of a $10.8 million contract awarded last fall. Work will take place each night from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Starting tonight, crews will close the three right lanes on the outer loop near mile marker 33, and the entrance ramp from N.C. 49 to the outer loop.
On Saturday night, three lanes will be closed on the inner loop between I-85 and N.C. 49. The exit and entrance ramps at U.S. 29 and the exit ramp to N.C. 49 will also be closed.
On Sunday night, crews will close the left lane on the outer loop between N.C. 49 and I-85.
