Public Meetings for proposed N.C. 211 Widening

RALEIGH – The public is invited to review proposed improvements to N.C. 211 between Moore and Hoke counties at a pair of meetings next week.

The N.C. Department of Transportation is proposing to widen 15.4 miles of N.C. 211 between U.S. 15/501 in Aberdeen and West Palmer Street/Mockingbird Hill Road in Raeford. This project is intended to reduce traffic cong​estion and travel delays and correct roadway deficiencies.

There are meetings set in both counties. One will take place Tuesday, July 23, from 4-7 p.m. in the West Hoke Middle School gymnasium and the other Thursday, July 25, from 4-7 p.m. in the cafeteria at Aberdeen Elementary School. People may stop by anytime during those hours.

NCDOT representatives will be available to answer questions and listen to comments that will be considered as the project develops. Comments may also be submitted by phone or mail until Aug.12.
