Highway Repair Work Requires Lane Closures in Forsyth County

RURAL HALL – Alternating lane closures begin next week and will last several weeks while N.C. Department of Transportation maintenance crews repair concrete slabs on U.S. 52 in Forsyth County.

The work will take place in both directions of U.S. 52 between Bethania-Rural Hall Road (N.C. 65) and the Stokes County line. It begins Monday, May 6, and will be conducted on weekdays until the project is complete.

Work on the southbound side of the highway will take place between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m., and the northbound work will be done between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. Lane closures will be removed as early as possible each day to minimize delays.

These repairs are necessary prior to asphalt surfacing that will take place later this summer.

Drivers should slow down near the work zone and watch for signage alerting them of the lane closures.
