NCDOT Invites Public to Review Plans to Improve Road in Guilford Co.

GREENSBORO – Residents are invited to an open house-style meeting this week to review proposed improvements to a stretch of Gallimore Dairy Road in Guilford County.

The N.C. Department of Transportation plans to widen the road from two lanes to five with a center turn lane and incorporate bicycle and pedestrian access between N.C. 68 (Eastchester Drive) and just south of Airpark Road. The improvements stem from the City of Greensboro’s long-range transportation plan.

More information can be found on the NCDOT public meeting webpage.

The meeting is set for Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at The Church on 68, located at 300 N.C. 68 South in Greensboro. People can drop in any time during the hours of the informal session and review maps and discuss the project with transportation officials.

Public feedback received at the meeting or submitted by phone or email through April 4 will be considered as the project develops.

For more information, contact NCDOT Division 7 Project Engineer Brian Ketner at 336-487-0075 or bkketner@ncdot.gov, or consultant Project Manager John Williams at 919-653-7358 or jwilliams@rkk.com.
