Still Time to Comment on Proposed 14th Street Widening Project in Greenville

GREENVILLE— Although the N.C. Department of Transportation held its public meeting on April 3 on a proposal to widen 14th Street between Red Banks Road and Fire Tower Road into four lanes with a median, additional turn lanes, bicycle lanes and sidewalks, there is still time to let the department know what you think of the idea.

The project is intended to improve traffic flow and safety for pedestrians, bicyclists and motorists.

A map displaying the location and design of the project can be found on the NCDOT website.

If you were were unable to attend the meeting, you have until May 3 to turn in comments that will play a key role in the final planning for the project. They can be sent to NCDOT Project Manager Rachelle Beauregard at rlbeauregard@ncdot.gov or (919) 239-7168. That is also the contact information if anyone has additional questions regarding the project.
