FAYETTEVILLE – To repair a sewer line,
the N.C. Department of Transportation needs to close the southbound lanes of
Hope Mills Road at Raeford Road, starting at 9 tonight.
Maintenance crews for NCDOT and employees for the Fayetteville
Public Works Commission will work overnight to access the sewer line, repair it
and reopen the roadway by Thursday morning, March 8.
The northbound lanes of Hope Mills Road, as well as the
through-lanes of Raeford Road, will not be affected by the overnight closure.
But any lanes on Raeford Road or Glensford Drive that direct traffic to
southbound Hope Mills Road at that intersection will be closed.
A signed detour will send traffic westward on Raeford Road, left onto N.C.
162, which is Bunce Road/Bingham Drive, and onto Hope Mills Road.
