ARCHDALE – The N.C. Department of
Transportation has rescheduled a public open house for the proposed widening of
Archdale Road in Randolph and Guilford counties.
The original Jan. 18 meeting was postponed because of the winter
storm. The meeting has been rescheduled for 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, at a
new location: Open Door Baptist Church, 135 W. White Drive, Archdale.
NCDOT proposes widening Archdale Road to accommodate a center-turn
lane between Robbins Country Road and North Main Street. NCDOT representatives
will be at the meeting to answer questions and collect comments about the
project, which would boost safety and ease congestion
