Rescheduled Open House for Archdale Road

ARCHDALE – The N.C. Department of Transportation has rescheduled a public open house for the proposed widening of Archdale Road in Randolph and Guilford counties.

The original Jan. 18 meeting was postponed because of the winter storm. The meeting has been rescheduled for 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 27, at a new location: Open Door Baptist Church, 135 W. White Drive, Archdale.

NCDOT proposes widening Archdale Road to accommodate a center-turn lane between Robbins Country Road and North Main Street. NCDOT representatives will be at the meeting to answer questions and collect comments about the project, which would boost safety and ease congestion

Project information and materials as they become available may viewed on the NCDOT website.

For additional information or to submit comments about the proposal, contact Jeffrey L. Teague, Division 8 Project Manager, at 910-944-2344; 902 N. Sandhills Blvd., Aberdeen, N.C., 28315; or jlteague@ncdot.gov. Comments may be submitted until March 20.
