One lane will remain open at all
times
WIMINGTON – Drivers traveling westbound
on the U.S. 76 bridge over Banks Channel in Wilmington will encounter an
overnight lane closure tomorrow night (Wednesday, Feb. 21).
The closure is needed so the Department of Transportation can
repair a bridge rail that was damaged in a recent crash.
The westbound closure will be in place from 9 p.m. Wednesday until
5 a.m. on Thursday morning. Although only one of two west bound lanes will be
closed, transportation officials encourage motorists to seek alternate routes to
avoid work crews and possible congestion.
